BCHHS is in need of Community Resource Volunteers (CRV) who make a positive difference in the lives of children in our community. CRVs participate in Permanency Planning Review (PPR) Meetings, where permanency options, placement decisions, well-being issues, and safety planning are discussed amongst the case social workers, Guardians ad Litem, families, foster parents and children. These meetings last approximately two hours and volunteers are able to sign up each month based on their availability.
Children have no control over the decisions that are made for them by adults yet these decisions have significant impacts on their lives. Community Resource Volunteers are able to provide a neutral perspective to other meeting participants focusing on the “big picture” and making case recommendations from a broader perspective.
