Once completed, you can either bring the form in to the office at 35 Woodfin St, mail it in to 35 Woodfin St, email it to register@buncombecounty.org, or fax it to 828-250-4333.

Certified copy of a Birth Certificate

• $10.00/certificate
• If you are 62 or older, there is NO charge for one (1) Certified Birth Certificate
• To obtain a certified copy, you must be related to the person whose document you are requesting, unless you are an Authorized Agent, or an Attorney.  This includes spouse, sibling, child, parent, grandparent, or grandchild, also included are step relationships.

Uncertified copy of a Birth Certificate

• $0.25/certificate

Adoption Records

All Adoption Records are removed from this office and must be obtained from Vital Records in Raleigh, N. C. http://vitalrecords.dhhs.state.nc.us.
