Community Oriented Problem Solving Team Follow Up Meeting for the Skyland/Arden Community TONIGHT

The Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office COPS team will hold a community meeting for the Skyland/Arden area on February 4 at 6 pm at the Skyland Fire Department. This is a follow up meeting for residents of the Skyland/Arden community to hear the findings from the COPS Team’s 30 day assignment in their community.

Sheriff Van Duncan, as well as several members of the Sheriff’s Office command staff, will be in attendance. The Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office utilizes this problem solving based approach to address issues in specific communities. Each COPS Team works in a particular community for 30 days, identifying key issues, speaking with community leaders and residents in the community, creating an action plan, and then presenting their findings and suggestions to the community at the end of the 30 day period.

Sheriff Duncan and the COPS team look forward to meeting with members of the Skyland/Arden community on February 4.
