1. Lock your doors - a surprising number of vehicle breaking and enterings are due to owners simply leaving their doors unlocked. Your property becomes an easy target for a thief--including hidden firearms.
2. Do NOT leave items worth stealing in your vehicle and/or in view. Do not leave shopping goods in your vehicles, put them in your trunk and move to a new parking location for your next store.
