Free Training: Screening for Lethality in Domestic Violence - TODAY

Buncombe County Government (BCG), with the help of community partners, the courts, law enforcement and local municipalities, is launching a comprehensive plan to address domestic violence. The goal of the comprehensive plan is to educate, connect and inspire to end violence against women in Buncombe County. An important first step is to train stakeholders in a common lethality assessment.

Buncombe County Government and MAHEC are offering a free training on Danger Assessment (DA). DA is an instrument which helps to determine the level of danger an abused woman has of being killed by her intimate partner. The tool was developed by Jacquelyn Campbell with consultation and content validity support from battered women, shelter workers, law enforcement officials and other clinical experts on bettering.

There are 3 sessions available Tuesday, August 5, 2014 for DANGER ASSESSMENT: Screening for Lethality in Domestic Violence to Save Lives.

Option 1

• Morning Session – Attend in Person
