Nancy Ellison on "The Invisible Man" at Weaverville Library

Retired literature professor Nancy Lewis will present a talk on Ralph Ellison's "The Invisible Man" in honor of banned books week. This free program is Tuesday, October 14 at 7 pm.

In this centennial year of the birth of the African American writer Ralph Ellison, his iconic novel is still banned by schools throughout the nation.  Lewis will explore how this landmark novel offers a searing, nightmarish portrait of racism and power that still resonates within our society.

Sponsored by the Friends of the Weaverville Library.  For more information call the Library at 250-6482 or email weaverville.library@buncombecounty.org.
