The Buncombe County Tax Office’s Real Estate Division wants to let citizens know that property reappraisals for the 2017 Reappraisal have begun.
If you see people walking around your property, and they claim to be county employees, here are some things you should verify:

Staff doing these reviews will have Buncombe County employee ID cards.

Reviews will be of the building exterior only - unless the property owner requests an interior inspection.

Information will be left on each door where the owner is not home at the time of the inspection to provide information about the process.
