A tabby cat has a distinctive coat that features stripes, dots, lines or swirling patterns, usually together with an "M" mark on its forehead. Tabbies are sometimes erroneously assumed to be a cat breed.
In fact, the tabby pattern is found in many breeds of cat, as well as among the general mixed-breed population. The pattern is a naturally occurring feature that may be related to the coloration of the domestic cat's direct ancestor, the African Wildcat.
Please consider giving a tabby (or any of our other cats) a loving home. We have PLENTY of kittens, and any adult cat one year or older can be adopted for only $50!
The cats at our shelter have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV and are already house trained.

Saturdays from 10:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Sundays from 10:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Petco is located at 825 Brevard Road in Asheville (across from the Biltmore Square Mall).
There are also cats available for adoption in the store at Pet Supermarket on Tunnel Road. So drop on by!
