Welcome to the Buncombe County Website!
Finding information has never been easier thanks to our innovative new layout. Our new design categorizes information about county activities, policies and procedures, functions and services, into four main sections: Governing, Living Here, Doing Business and Visiting Us.
Within each of these sections, information has been broken down and categorized in a manner that makes navigting our site more intuitive and user-friendly. For instance, each section contains a standard header and footer at the top and bottom of the page. Each header contains a horizontal menu bar with drop-down selections - so you're never more than a few clicks away from your next topic!
Located beneath the navigational bar is the "bread-crumb trial"; this bar lets you know where you are in relation to other relevant areas of the site. You can also use these links to step back through your previously viewed pages.
The footer of each section provides a set of links that lets you easily jump to and from any of the other web sections.

'Doing Business' is an area specifically targeted at individuals doing business in or with Buncombe County.The menu categories within this section are Business with the County, Taxes, Construction & Land Use, Property & Deeds, and Certifications.
Living Here
The 'Living Here' section is geared towards citizens and contains what most of the visitors to our site are looking for: services.
The menu categories within this section are For Fun, Around the House, Your Safety, Services, Environment, and Your Neighborhood.
Visiting Us
'Visiting Us' is an area for individuals interested in visiting different partsof Buncombe County and the surrounding region, who mayor may not live here.
