New Print Option for GIS
The Buncombe County GIS mapping website has a new print option. You now have 3 different page sizes to choose from, and a variety of different formats from which to choose.
To print a map, click on the Print Map tool on the toolbar. The Print Map dialog will open. Select the page size from the template dropdown. The default page format is PDF, if you want to change it, use the format dropdown, and then click on the Submit Job button.
Another new feature that we added is a new context menu for the map. If you right click on the map with your mouse, you will get a new menu. The Save Map Image option let you save the map image to your computer as a jpeg. The Print Map Image option will create a simple map page that you can either print or right click on the map and copy and paste the map image. Right now this is the only way to copy and paste a map image from the GIS website.
