The Buncombe County Solid Waste Management Facility, or landfill, is located at 81 Panther Branch Road. The Transfer Station, which accepts residential waste only, is located at 190 Hominy Creek Rd.

Let's Help Cleanup -- Register Today
Asheville GreenWorks is planning a cleanup and is encouraging neighborhoods, groups, and businesses to register their cleanup sites.
If you have electronics that need to go, you can drop them off on Fridays (except holidays) between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. at the Landfill.
You Dump It, You Drink It. Recycle Used Motor Oil
Used motor oil from a single oil change can ruin a million gallons of fresh water — that is a year's supply for 50 people!
In Buncombe County there are several stores that accept plastic bags for recycling.
Don't forget to recycle your CFL's (compact fluorescent light bulbs)!
