The
Buncombe County Health Center is an integral part of the quality
health care system in Buncombe County, and provides core public
health services and innovative health care solutions.
Across the state, a network of essential services known as
Public Health, works together to protect and improve the health
of all citizens and to make our communities a safe and healthy
place to live. The Health Center is a vital part of this important
network.

The voluntary all lot recall is due to the possibility that tablets with double the appropriate thickness may have been commercially released. These tablets may contain twice the approved level of active ingredient than is appropriate.

On April 9th, 2008 Buncombe County, in addition to the 18 other counties in WNC participated in an emergency drill involving the activation of the Strategic National Stockpile.
