The Fairview Library is having an art contest for kids and teens. The contest has three divisions: K-5, 6-8, 9-12 and prizes are $25 gift cards to Barnes and Noble.
Do you love the town or neighborhood where you live? Draw a picture and tell us why your town or neighborhood is special. Here’s how it works: Paint, draw, or use crayons! It is up to you! The drawing can be no larger than 18”x 24”. Making a collage is fine, but be sure that there are no heavy objects attached to it so we can hang it in the library.
All entries must be turned in to the Fairview Public Library by 6 p.m. on Friday, October 12. All entries must have the following information on the back: student’s name, parent or guardian’s name, school name, grade, and home phone number.
Mailing entries is OK, but be sure to allow enough time for your art to get to the library by the October 12 deadline. Mail or bring entries to Fairview Public Library, 1 Taylor Road, Fairview, NC 28730
Winners will be notified no later than October 26. All entries will be on display at the library through November. Entries not picked up by November 30 will be discarded.
Winners will be invited to a reception on Tuesday, November 13 at 6pm. All entries will be on display. Hors d’oeuvres will be served.
Call the library at 828-250-6484 or email fairview.library@buncombecounty.org with any questions.
