May 7 marks the Special Olympic Spring Games Day event for Buncombe County. Over 700 Athletes from across Buncombe county will participate in this years track and field events. These athletes include students from Buncombe County and Asheville City Schools, and adults as individuals and from group homes.
The games are held at TC Roberson High School on the Football Field, with opening ceremonies starting at 9 am and events beginning right after.
Athletes participate in long jump, metered runs, dashes, softball throw and shot put. Come out and support the Special Olympic Athletes in Buncombe County!
