Facility Information
The Zeugner Center features an indoor pool with locker rooms and showers a large multi-purpose room, kitchen area and smaller classroom.
The indoor pool is 35' x 75' (25 yards) and is kept between 81 - 82 degrees. It ranges in dept from 3 - 10 feet. The pool does not contain any diving boards or slides.
Many area schools use the Zeugner Center pool for swim team practice. Water exercise classes are offered as well as open swim times.
The multi-purpose room overlooks the indoor pool and can accommodate up to 60 people.
Pool Fees
- $3.50 per visit for lap swim or $25.00 per month.
- Open Swim - $3.00 per visit or 10 visit pass for $20.00 & 25 visit pass for $40.00
- Water Exercise $4.00 per visit or $24-$27 per month

The Zeugner Center has several items for rent. Please call (828) 684-5072 or email parks@buncombecounty.org for reservations.
Rental Rates
- Main Room*: $35/hour
- Snack Room*: $15.00/hour
- Pool: $50/hour up to 25 people, thereafter every group of 25 is an additional $7.50 for lifeguards.
*Main Room and Snack Room are also available for rentals during the times on the pool schedule.
Pool Rules
- Everyone must shower before entering pool.
- Absolutely no running in the pool area.
- Dunking, spitting, pushing and shoulder riding are not allowed in the pool.
- Diving from the side of the pool can only be done in the deep end or water that is a minimum of 6 feet in depth.
- Glass is not allowed in the pool area.
- Alcoholic beverages are not permitted on the premises at any time.
- A person be able to swim the pool width to be allowed in the deep end. This is still subject to the lifeguard's discretion.
- Children under 8 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.
- Splashing or unnecessary talking with the lifeguard on duty may result in suspension of pool use.
- Ladders are only for entering or exiting the pool.
- The use of fins and snorkels is prohibited.
- Swimming goggles and masks are allowed.
- There will be no rainchecks issued.

Take 26 East and take Exit #37 - turn left on to Long Shoals Road and travel 1.1 miles - turn left on to Overlook Road and travel .4 of a mile - turn right on to Springside Road and travel .3 of a mile - turn right between the tennis courts

Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm
Saturday open for Rentals Only
Sundays 1:30pm – 5pm
