Homicide Victim Identification
Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office Investigators have released the identity of a homicide victim found early Monday morning on the Blue Ridge Parkway.
Investigators say 21 year old Misty Lynn Carter of Mountain Home, North Carolina was found deceased on the side of the road near mile marker 395 by a passing motorist around 6:30 a.m. on Monday morning. An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday at Bowman Gray Medical Center in hopes of determining the exact cause of death.
Investigators have been working around the clock since 7:00 a.m. Monday morning and are following several leads at this time and hope to have more information to release at a later date.
