Ladies Night Out

Join hundreds of women in Buncombe County who have already been screened.

Don't let money stand in your way. You may be eligible for a health exam and cancer screening at no cost if you:

  • Are age 18 to 64 (Especially women ages 40 - 64)
  • Have limited income
  • Have limited or no insurance
  • Live in Buncombe County

During Ladies Night Out women are offered free:

  • Breast & Cervical Exams
  • Pap Smears
  • Mammograms
  • Blood Pressure & Cholesterol Screenings
  • Health Counseling & Education
  • Transportation
  • Childcare
  • Refreshments

Ladies Night Out is the first Thursday night of each month. Interpreter services are available.

Ladies Night Out is a program offered by Mission Hospital, the Asheville Breast Center and Buncombe County Department of Health's Breast and Cervical Cancer and Wise Woman Programs. The program covers the cost of a mammogram for women who are faced with a gap in insurance coverage and who qualify for the Buncombe County Department of Health's Breast and Cervical Cancer Control Program (BCCCP).

Mission Hospital's Cancer Services through Mission Foundation and the Asheville Breast Center provide the financial support for the breast cancer screenings and educational programs for uninsured women provided through the Ladies Night Out program. Donations to Ladies Night Out are important for the continuity of the program and should be sent to: Mission Foundation, 980 Hendersonville Road, Suite C, Asheville, NC 28803. Mission Foundation is accredited by the Better Business Bureau's Wise Giving Alliance meeting all 20 Standards for Charity Accountability.
