Child Support Monies MUST be sent to NC Child Support Centralized Collections, NOT the Clerk of Court.

The Civil Division is made up of Small Claims Court; District Court; and Superior Court.

The Criminal and Traffic Division deals with cases and citations, background checks, expunction requests, and records retention for the Civil Division.

The Clerk of Superior Court serves as the Probate Court. The purpose of probate is to distribute a person's estate after death.

Special Proceedings include: Adoptions; Foreclosures; Incompetency and Guardianship Proceedings; Name Changes; Partitions of Property and Legitimations.
