The Western North Carolina AIDS Project or WNCAP is hosting a display of the AIDS Memorial Quilt here in Asheville. One hundred and sixty panels will be on display at the Haywood Park Hotel Atrium from November 26 - December 3. The panels have been requested by local WNC residents who have lost a loved one to AIDS.
A Candlelight Memorial Vigil will be held on Saturday, December 1 from 7 - 9 p.m. in honor of World AIDS Day.
The AIDS Memorial Quilt is a dynamic and special memorial. It travels the world telling the stories of lives lost too soon to a disease that is preventable - a tribute to those we have loved and lost.
