Mike Fryar, District 2 Commissioner elect, will be sworn in on Wednesday, January 9 at 6 p.m. in Commission Chambers at 200 College Street in downtown Asheville. After final action by the State Board of Elections and local Board of Elections certifying final vote totals, Mr. Fryar will take office as a County Commissioner from District 2 with a 4 year term.
Commissioner-elect Fryar was the top vote-getter with 20,007 votes in the November 2012 election. The second seat from this district is still in contention and will be decided later this month.
