Buncombe County Soil and Water is working on a great event for the Farmland Preservation Program called Cycle to Farm.
This bike ride is a benefit for Farmland Preservation and also helps give an economic boost to farms in the rural Sandy Mush Community of Buncombe County. It’ll include bicycle mechanic support and yoga at the start, cool swag, awesome new routes to discover, and of course, access to many great local farms. Come ride and enjoy the scenery and the local food! If you’re not in cycling shape, we need volunteers too! There are plenty of activities planned for non-riders and family.
This event is in Sandy Mush on Saturday, September 28. Swag for the program includes a great “musette bag” to hold all your stuff, various goodies from sponsors, and even coupons for discounts and freebies at the farms and through the sponsors.
For more information about the event, contact Maria Wise with Buncombe County Soil and Water at 250-4794, or email maria.wise@buncombecounty.org.
