South Asheville/Oakley Library

Oakley Library is growing a storybook pumpkin patch and we need your help! Decorate a pumpkin to look like one of your favorite book characters, and bring it to the library to plant in our Storybook Pumpkin Patch!
-
No carved or cut pumpkins will be accepted. Pumpkins must be decorated WITHOUT carving, cutting or poking holes.
-
You may pick any character from any book you have read.
-
Pumpkins are to be painted or colored with markers, i.e. NOT CARVED. Acrylic paints or permanent markers work best. Yarn, construction paper, pipe cleaners, cloth, wigs, etc. may be used to decorate the pumpkin. Tape, paste, or glue can be used if needed.
-
We will be accepting pumpkins the entire month of October.
-
All pumpkins must be picked up during the first week of November.
