Don't miss the Memorial Day Concert and Ceremony immediately followed by a special Ribbon Cutting on Monday, May 25.
The Annual Memorial Day Concert and Ceremony will be held on the Roger McGuire Green Stage of Pack Square Park starting at 2:30 p.m. The NC Army National Guard's 440th Army Band will perform a half hour before and after the ceremony. The Reuter Center Singers will perform during the ceremony.
Immediately following the ceremony, the County Commissioners will cut the ribbon on the Charters of Freedom monument located across College Street and everyone is invited to attend.
The Charters of Freedom Monument displays replicas of the United States Declaration of Independence, Constitution and Bill of Rights. The Patterson family's generous donation will allow generations of citizens to read the words of our founding fathers on our own Charters of Freedom monument.
