Starting Monday, Feb. 13, 30 Valley St. will start the process of renovations for Buncombe County’s Permits & Inspections and Environmental Health departments. The County is excited about the planned upgrades that will make your visit to this building more efficient by combining the front desk areas for both departments. While the application processes will remain the same, applications for both departments will be centralized helping speed up applying and getting questions answered. Additionally, a new phone system will increase accessibility for customers utilizing call-in services.
During the construction, office hours and services will remain the same. However, we ask the public to remain patient as we route in-person customers to the rear of 30 Valley St. The renovations are expected to be finished by Feb. 17. Meantime, you can always call or find information and some online services at Environmental Health and Permits & Inspections’ websites.
