In September, Pack Memorial Library will once again host the Manhattan Short Film Festival. Join other film lovers who will unite in over 500 venues worldwide to view and judge the work of the next generation of filmmakers from around the world.
The Manhattan Short is the only film festival of its kind. The final selections screen simultaneously across the world during a one-week period, where attendees vote for Best Film and Best Actor awards at each participating venue. Every short film selected will automatically become qualified for the Oscars of 2024.
This is a free event, but tickets are required. To receive your tickets please visit the Pack Memorial Library service desk, phone 828-250-4700, or email jen.waite@buncombecounty.org. Light refreshments will be provided. Films are appropriate for ages 14 and up.
