Updated Sept. 17: Due to the weather, tonight's (Sept. 17) Since the Thunder Stopped - 25-year anniversary of the final race at Asheville Motor Speedway will be postponed until Oct. 1 at 6 p.m.

Sept. 7 at 10:30 a.m.: Thunder Road (1958) film screening
Join BCSC at Pack Memorial Library for a screening of the 1957 film starring Robert Mitchum. Filmed largely in Asheville, this movie follows a Korean War vet who returns home to take over the family bootlegging business. Learn more here.
Sept. 14 at 2:30 p.m.: Thunder Road - On Location "Then and Now
Frank Thompson, a local film historian and author of a forthcoming book about the 1958 film Thunder Road, will share a presentation highlighting then and now views of local filming locations for the classic movie. This will be at Pack Memorial, click here for more details.
