Annual Fall-O-Ween Festival Comes Back on Oct. 19 at Lake Julian

Autumn leaves, carnival games, and costume contests can only mean one thing: Fall-O-Ween is back! Buncombe County Parks and Recreation hosts its fourth annual classic family-friendly festival on October 19, 2024, from 1-5 p.m. at Lake Julian Park. 

This event is a great way for families to enjoy cool fall weather through a variety of outdoor activities that are sure to be spooky, fun, and filling. 

Activities include: Carnival-style games, pumpkin painting, costume contest, face painting, pontoon boat hayride, food trucks, and more! 

This event and most activities are free, but there is a cost to purchase food from the food trucks and some activities will have a small fee to participate. 

The event will feature local businesses and other Buncombe County departments offering activities and information including the Sheriff's Office, Soil & Water Environmental Educators, and Libraries  

Event Details: 
When: October 19, 1-5 p.m. 
Where: Lake Julian Park, 37 Lake Julian Road, Arden 
Cost: Free, with a small cost for some activities. 
Parking: Available at Charles T. Koontz Intermediate and Estes Elementary School as the park will be closed to vehicles. Parking at the park will be available for those with a valid disability placard.
