Shelters for Buncombe County Residents - Refugios Para Residentes Del Condado de Buncombe

Due to hazardous weather, including potentially catastrophic flooding, landslides, and high winds, Buncombe County Government is opening shelters for the community.

Emergency officials urge residents in the Swannanoa and French Broad River valleys and tributaries should evacuate before anticipated flooding overnight Friday into Saturday.

Historic flooding is expected along French Broad and Swannanoa Rivers.
