Sending It: Buncombe County's Migration to Upgraded Dot-Gov Website Begins with New Email Addresses

Buncombe County is rolling out new email addresses, and many of you might have arrived here from the link in our updated email disclaimer. If so, we applaud you for being vigilant with your digital security. The County is officially in its first phase of a website migration to a new Dot-Gov (.Gov) address that begins with email addresses transitioning from Dot-Org (.org) to Dot-Gov. For you eagle-eyed email recipients out there, if you’ve noticed the difference, congratulations on your next-level digital safety awareness. If you get an email from a BuncombeNC.Gov address, know that it is an authentic communication that will also have an updated disclaimer (located at the bottom of the message) linking back to this article.

This will not change anything for how the public interacts with Buncombe County, we just wanted to make sure everyone knows that as we make this digital transition there will be slight changes to our email and website. The County is excited about this transition to our new .GOV home as it will improve security and credibility in ways only having the .GOV address can provide.

We will provide updates on our web migration as we transition. Meantime, we will continue to provide high-quality service, and you can still find all our online services through our website.
