As crews continue to make progress in storm debris pickup in Buncombe County, here are some resources you can use to track public right-of-way completion and send any concerns regarding Private Property Debris Removal.
Zone Closeout Map
Crews are making final passes in the county to pick up storm debris on the public right-of-way. The county has been divided into eight zones, A through H. Crews are working through zones from west to east, giving residents of highly impacted areas in the eastern part of the county, more time to move their debris to the public right-of-way.
To see what zone you are located in, and whether your zone has been completed, use the Debris Collection Zone Map.
The map includes color-coded zones. Areas with stripes have been marked as completed by debris crews, including zone A1. To view information on your property, click on different areas on the map or type in your address on the search bar on the top right. Once a zone has been selected you can see if the zone it's in has been marked as complete.
March 1, 2025, was the deadline to place debris on the public right-of-way to ensure crews will pick it up throughout March. If you missed the deadline or were unable to move debris on your own, please apply for Private Property Debris Removal, a program to have crews remove debris from your property for free, by April 15.
