Buncombe County Launches Envision Buncombe Survey

graphics say Envision Buncombe
Tropical Storm Helene left its mark on Buncombe County, and while the storm has passed, questions remain: How does a community recover stronger, better, more resilient? How are all voices lifted to make sure no one is left behind?

Before the storm devastated many parts of our community, Buncombe County Commissioners were working to shape strategic priorities for the next five-year Strategic Plan. In the wake of Helene, those priorities may look different. As we develop the long-term strategy for recovery, we want to ensure every voice is at the table.

That’s why we’re launching Envision Buncombe—a community-wide opportunity to shape our future, together. We have created a brief survey to share your needs and priorities available at engage.buncombecounty.org/envisionbuncombe

As Buncombe County Commissioners revisit strategic priorities post-Helene and we craft our long-term recovery, we’ll use your input to shape the 2030 Strategic Plan and develop recovery projects that reflect your needs and values. The survey is short and should take less than five minutes to complete. Find the survey online or let us know if there is an opportunity for County staff to attend your community meeting at pio@buncombecounty.org. Learn more about recovery at engage.buncombecounty.org/buncomberecovers.
