Avoid the Lines: Vote Early, Vote Now!

Avoid the Lines... Vote Early for the Asheville Primary.Early Voting for the Asheville Primary begins Thursday, September 17 and ends on Saturday, October 3. The Early Voting site is the Buncombe County Election Services Office located downtown at 189 College Street (directions).

Hours of Operation:
Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.
Saturday, October 3rd, 8:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.

All registered voters who live within the municipal boundaries of the City of Asheville are eligible to vote during this time. Residents who are not registered to vote may still register and vote during the early voting period.

Four candidates have signed up to run for mayor in the primary. Nine other candidates are competing for three seats on the council. The council is Asheville's governing body and has seven members including the mayor.
