We want you to be able to check out all of our amazing electronic resources while the libraries are closed, so we are now offering library cards through email!
Here’s how it works:
1. Email library@buncombecounty.org and ask for a library card. You need to be a Buncombe County resident to get a card.
2. We’ll respond to you and ask you to email a copy or photo of your local ID to us.
3. We’ll send you back a library card number and PIN that you can use for all digital resources.
4. The physical card will be mailed to you at a later date.
Remember, all Buncombe County and Asheville City School IDs can be used to check out library materials, so if you have a school ID you already have a library card.
We will give out cards by email as long as the library is closed to the public. We can also renew cards by email and answer any questions you may have. Just contact us at library@buncombecounty.org or check out our website or facebook pages for the latest information.
