About this data

This dashboard reflects Buncombe County spending and potential spending activity related to Tropical Storm Helene. It is the intention of Buncombe County to seek reimbursement for Helene related spending, where allowable. Data is refreshed on a monthly basis and totals may change as spending activity is further evaluated as to how it relates to the disaster.

Field Definitions

  • Date: This is the accounting date for the transaction shown.
  • Cost Center: A financial organizational category similar to a "department" level
  • Program: A financial organizational category below the Cost Center level, similar to a "division"
  • Ledger Account: These are the natural accounts used to make up the financial statements
  • Spend Category: Operational level detail that maps to an expense ledger account
  • Supplier: This is the payee for the transaction. For Procurement Card transactions this is the charge description from the merchant.
  • Amount: This is the dollar amount recorded.
  • Actuals: Funds expended
  • Obligations: Committed funds to be expended at a later date.
