DONATION CENTERS

The most impactful way to support the recovery effort at this time is monetary donations to recognized disaster relief organizations:

United Way

Community Foundation of Western North Carolina’s Emergency and Disaster Response Fund

Asheville Chamber of Commerce

10/12/25 Update:

Our donation center at Commerce Way in Arden is full, and we will not be able to accept donations today, Sunday, Monday, or Tuesday. This pause will allow us to distribute these supplies out to the community.

We recommend donations go to ABCCM, Bounty & Soul, or Beloved in the interim.

The City of Asheville is also accepting small donations at the following locations everyday 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.:

  • Harrah’s Cherokee Center – 68 Haywood St
  • West Asheville – 1298 Patton Ave
  • Arden Presbyterian Church – 2215 Hendersonville Rd

The County and City do have a list of accepted/not accepted items.

Accepted Items

We have seven categories of things that we can accept, these include:

•  Non-perishable, ready-to-eat food

•  Bottled water

•  Clean-up supplies

•  Paper goods like toilet paper

•  Baby supplies including formula

•  Pet supplies

•  Personal Care

Not Accepted

We cannot accept baby food, glass items, furniture, clothing, perishable food, electronics, and flammable liquids.

If you have donations, equipment, or questions about specific needs, email helenedonations@buncombecounty.org. While donations and supplies are appreciated, our operations team has asked to remind the community that donations should not be dropped off at fire stations or other emergency facilities as space is limited and can hinder operations on the ground.
