The Buncombe County Commissioners meet on the first and third Tuesday of each month at 200 College Street in downtown Asheville.
Civic engagement and pride is our goal as a community. We are doing our best to make participation easy. Our commissioners are out in the community attending meetings and events, listening and getting feedback from the public. Making participation in our Board of Commissioner meetings is another way we can encourage engagement. We offer free parking and bus passes to those that want to attend a meeting. If you can’t come downtown, our BOC meetings are televised and can be seen online and on the County Government Channel 192. The Board hears general public comment after each issue that will be discussed or voted on during the meeting. The end of the meeting is reserved for general public comment period.
Commissioner Meetings can only be seen on BCTV at 8:00 p.m. nightly, except Sunday nights when the Black Mountain Board of Alderman Meetings air at 8:00 p.m.
