Our RTIC is a technology center that assists in investigating and gathering intelligence in order to deploy resources more effectively. The RTIC was initially funded by Forfeiture-Dollars and not tax dollars. RTIC partners with Buncombe County Schools on keeping our schools safe. RTIC technicians can relay information to deputies in real-time while they are responding. Investigators can request information from network of community stakeholder. We are the first Sheriffs Office in the Western part of the state to have our own RTIC.
This free registry lets us know that you have a camera system, so we can contact you and request footage as needed. Helps us solve crimes, simply by sharing the requested footage. After the free camera registry, you will have the opportunity to upgrade your current security system by purchasing a Core from BCSO. This Core allows you to stream live video feed of cameras, of your choice directly to BCSO once it is installed onto your network. Live streaming cameras allows our deputies to have more information on situation and gives them an idea of what they are getting into, keeping you and our deputies safe.
